The documentation can now be accessed: "We believe it will make the painter's daily work easier."

Flügger is now launching its new blue buckets made from recycled plastic for a wide range of the company’s products. In addition to the change in colour and significantly higher use of recycled plastic, painters will also be able to scan a QR code for direct access to the product’s documentation.

In today’s construction industry, it is crucial for painters to stay on top of their documentation. It can be the difference between winning or losing a job.

That’s why Flügger has developed new buckets, where all the necessary documentation can be accessed via a QR code. The hope and expectation are that it will ease the burden placed on professional painters.

  • When we look at the market and talk to professional painters, it’s not just the solid craftsmanship that matters. Documentation has become a part of everyday life, and as a supplier to the painting profession, we have a responsibility to make it as easy as possible, says Mikkel Boelskifte, Country Manager for Flügger in Denmark.

In this context, he points out that all documentation is now at hand.

  • On our new buckets, there is a QR code, so the painter can easily access the specific data for the product in Flügger Document Manager. This makes it easier to bid for particularly sustainable construction projects and frees up time for what the painter does best, he says.

A "new" colour with significance
The white buckets have for decades been synonymous with Flügger, and there is indeed a touch of nostalgia as the colour now changes to blue. For the sake of recognisability, the shade of blue has been carefully chosen to resemble Flügger’s blue as closely as possible, Mikkel Boelskifte explains:

  • We know that the colour matters to our customers. That’s why we have chosen a highly recognisable shade for the new buckets.

  • What won’t change is the high quality. As a Flügger customer, you can be confident that you will find exactly the same high-quality products in the bucket as always.

A shift to recycled plastic
The new buckets also mark a shift to packaging made from recycled plastic. For Flügger, it is a strategic goal that 90% of the paint buckets should consist of 55% recycled plastic.

  • For Flügger, it’s important that we develop good solutions and services for our customers. That’s why 55% of the total amount of plastic used in the production of our own products is recycled plastic. This way, you can take a Flügger paint bucket to your job with a clear conscience, says Mikkel Boelskifte before concluding:

  • We are continually working to reduce our carbon footprint, and we constantly challenge ourselves on what more we can do. A good step in the right direction is using more and more recycled plastic for our buckets.

Production of the new blue buckets has begun, and before long, they will gradually appear in Flügger stores.
