New blue buckets from Flügger
Documentation is now available for download: “We believe it will make the painter’s life easier”

Flügger is now launching their new blue buckets in recycled plastic for a wide range of the company’s products. In addition to the change in colour and significantly higher use of recycled plastic, painters will also be able to scan a QR code with direct access to the product documentation.

As a painter in today’s construction industry, keeping track of your documentation is crucial. It can be the difference between winning and losing a job. That is why Flügger has developed new buckets where all the necessary documentation can be retrieved via a QR code. The hope and expectation is that this will ease the painter’s burden.

– When we observe the market and talk to professional painters, it’s not only the execution of solid craftsmanship that is important. Documentation has become part of the day-to-day business and as a supplier to the painting trade we have a responsibility to make it as easy as possible,” says Mikkel Boelskifte, Country Manager for Flügger in Denmark.

He points out that all documentation is now at your fingertips.

– Our new buckets have a QR code on them, so the painter can easily find the product-specific data in the Flügger Document Manager. This makes it easier to bid on particularly sustainable buildings and gives the painter more time to do what he does best, he says.

A “new” colour with meaning

For decades, the white buckets have been synonymous with Flügger, and it is not without some sadness that the colour is now changing to blue. However, for the sake of recognisability, the blue colour has been chosen to be as close to the Flügger blue colour as possible, says Mikkel Boelskifte:

– We know that the colour matters to our customers. That’s why we’ve chosen an easily recognisable colour for the new bins.

– One thing that will not change is the high quality. As a Flügger customer, you can rest assured that you’ll find exactly the same thing in the bucket as you always have.

A switch to recycled plastic

The new buckets also mark a shift to packaging made from recycled plastic. For Flügger, it is a strategic goal that 90% of the paint buckets must consist of 55% recycled plastic.

– It is important to Flügger that we develop good solutions and services for our customers. That is why 55% of the total amount of plastic used in the production of our own products is recycled plastic. This means that you can take a bucket of Flügger paint to work with a clear conscience, says Mikkel Boelskifte before concluding.

– We are continuously striving to reduce our carbon footprint, and we are constantly challenging ourselves on where we can improve. One big step is to use more and more recycled plastic in our bins.

The production of the new blue buckets has already started, and before long, the buckets will gradually appear in Flügger stores.
