According to Lucas Eichild, Senior Vice President for Corporate Development at Flügger, the agreement is good for both Flügger, Tapetterminalen and the many loyal customers:
“Our customers can still buy Fiona’s high-quality wallpaper at Flügger, while we can strengthen Flügger’s focus on the core business. At the same time, the Wallpaper Terminal will gain access to a strong and traditional Nordic brand. We look forward to an even closer and rewarding co-operation in the future for the benefit of our customers,” he says.
Tapetterminalen, which is located close to Flügger’s Swedish factories and is a leading distributor of wallpapers in Sweden, will take over Flügger’s current wallpaper stock and all trademark rights to Fiona Walldesign. They will also supply the Flügger stores with Fiona wallpapers after the transfer.
Tapetterminalen is already a major supplier of wallpaper to Flügger and focuses exclusively on wallpaper and its distribution, making them an ideal partner.
At Tapetterminalen, CEO Claes Åke Gimmersta looks forward to the launch of Fiona Wallpaper:
“We are excited to expand our business in the Nordics and gain access to such a strong brand through the acquisition of Fiona Walldesign. We look forward to working closely with Flügger to deliver the best wallpaper solutions to the customers,” says Claes Åke Gimmersta, owner and CEO of Tapetterminalen.
The sale does not affect Flügger’s financial forecasts for the fiscal year 2022/23.
